The book “My Life In Brazil” was one of the most pleasant and difficult assignments I was ever given. The technical part was fairly simple, I just needed to follow a child for a day documenting everything with my camera. Exhausting, yet simple. The photos would be part of a series of books and each child would represent the synthesis of her/his country, and that was the hardest part.
Brazil is too big, too diverse and the social gaps are huge. There was no way I could find one single child to represent the whole country. Until I did. I found Valentina! A beautiful little girl from a humble and warm family. She is very happy, energetic and understands that school is the way to achieve her many dreams.
Below you can see the result of this project following Valentina for a day on her life. Enjoy!
